For the first time ever, on November 20th Le Tapin comes to Brooklyn! In collaboration with Vapors Magazine, A.L.I.E.N, UBER & BKRW, AUDIO AESTHETICS invites Le Tapin for the U.S. debut of "I WOULD SPIT ON YOUR SNEAKERS." The exhibit is a critical deconstruction of the "sneaker" in a post modern/contemporary society using a surrealist and a self described post graffiti aesthetic.

Curated by Sabrina Yo'land & MEGA

I AM...

...Hatin! The girl is insane. I was blastin' this joint and doing the moves all up in down my crib. I thought I was Tina til I busted my hand against a chair! But the energy felt so good I kept shimmy shakin! Show 'em how it's done!

And B's inspiration...? Gwen Verdon & Mexican Breakfast. SWEET!

A Jack of All Trades

I met Melo maybe a year or so ago, worked together, and been linked ever since. He's a genius at several different expressions in an industry where most heads haven't even mastered one. With his upcoming album Mustafa's Renaissance along with a slew of other collaborative projects, the multi-talented Mustafa X is showing 'em what the word KING means. Take a listen to Treat Her Right, a great cut from the new project!

The Come UP Kids

Just when I thought these veterans were down for the count they come with new projects and new content while keeping in tune with classic skills. Check these artists and their upcoming projects!

'08 & '09 Releases
Q-Tip's The Renaissance Best Track: Move
Dead Prez' Politrikkks
Pharoahe Monch's Desire Best Track: Welcome To The Terradome
Mos Def's The Ecstatic Best Track: Auditorium
Scarface's Emeritus (Credit to HipHopDX) Best Track: Forgot About Me

And on the Anticipated Releases List
MF Doom x GhostFace's Swift & Changeable
India.Arie's Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics
Dr. Dre's Detox
Fugees TBA

I even heard M.J. is suppose to release a project in '09...we'll see.

Little Bit

Ya gotta love when other artists put a unique twist on things.

Lykke Li is a UK artist who just broke in the States. Her second US tour is underway so I suggest you check it out. Her whole swag is on point and I believe she's up for a '08 Woody Award. Keeping MTV's agendas in mind the 'U'niversity channel puts a lot of indie artists on. Lykke is a great representation of indie at its best.

People I Know

Cleaning out my camera and thought I'd throw up some of my favorite pics.

And the adventures continue!
